Favorite Pics

A few of my most recent favorites…

After Kindermusik (it’s a favorite place to take pictures-thanks AJ! :) )

Me and my girl all wrapped in her blankie that TT and I made together.

And someone was jealous and wanted a mommy picture too!  Happy to oblige! :)  Love our kiddos!!  They’re the best!!

T-Rex

All by himself, NO help at all.  Look what I made mom!  A t-rex!

Looks more like a giraffe but in the 30 seconds it took me to get to the camera to take the picture Tessa managed to destroy the T-rex 3 times.  This was the 3rd rebuild.  Close enough!!  It really did look like a dinosaur the first time!  And how about that face?!  Captions?!!

From Last Weekend

This one was on my phone from last weekend when my parents visited.  I forgot about it when posting about their visit.  It was too good to pass up.

Visit from Grandparents

A much loved visit from the grandparents this weekend!!!  It was fantastic.

My favorite picture from the weekend.

Pops is enjoying retirement…can you tell?! :)

I said three or four times while they were here that I needed to record Tessa and Pops talking.  They have their own unique form of communication.  It is hilarious and precious!  Next time, we must record this Pops!!!

Playing Together

One of the best things about the kids getting older, they play together!

I was cleaning up the kitchen, knew the kids were playing out in the living room, and heard that most dreadful sound when a 3 1/2 year old and 1 1/2 year old reside in your home…SILENCE!  I knew something was up and raced to the living room.  I’m expecting the worst…much to my surprise…and delight…

Reading quietly and enjoying a snack…TOGETHER…IN PEACE!

Okay, who stole our children?!

Another fun activity.  (The wagon has big warning labels on the side-CHILDREN SHOULD NOT RIDE IN THIS WAGON.  Whoops!)

Kids and Cats

I took this the other day.  Tessa and Willie.

And it made me think of this picture from April 2009. Tucker and Ernie.

Wow how times have changed?!

This and That

No theme to this post.  Just a bunch of randomness from the last week.

Her favorite thing to say AS SOON as the camera comes out…”Cheese!”

“Mom, what is that?!!!”

A favorite activity…

Swinging in the blanket.

Our little drummer girl.

The latest “burn off some steam toy” and lucky find on clearance at our local Bed Bath and Beyond.  It came with a very poor constructed tent-hence the clearance rack but the tunnel was worth the cost alone!

Mom and Dad came for a quick visit on Sunday-Monday because they didn’t have school on President’s Day.  They got to attend Kindermusik with the kids and enjoy some grandchildren time.  Reading books, not sure who was the happiest?! :)

Tessa is really starting to say a lot of words.  She’ll be a year and a half at the end of this month (NO WAY!).  I’ll do an 18 month review in a few weeks but here’s a taste of our little talker in action…

And Tucker is very much into how his body works, what happens to my food, how do I make energy, etc.  We’ve tried to explain this as best we can so that our curious 3 year old can somewhat understand?!  We’ve watched videos and looked at pictures but nothing beats this explanation…

Happy Valentines Day!

Okay so I know I’m a little behind and this post has basically no pictures…

I decided to enjoy Valentines Day (not behind the camera) so I have no pics from the actual day.  But we enjoyed heart shaped pancakes and sausage for breakfast and heart shaped grilled cheese for lunch!  It was a preschool day and Tucker had his party so he was loaded up on sugar.  We enjoyed dinner as a family at home, nothing super special, just happy to be together.

I want to show off my (lack of) craftiness.  We needed a cheap way to do Valentines for Tucker’s friends for preschool.  I saw this idea on someone else’s site and it looked pretty easy.  I gave Tucker the option between this and something else.  Of course he picked these as he’s all into super-heroes right now!  So $4 for all of the suckers and the rest of the supplies we had here at home!  Awesome!!

The cape reads “You’re a super friend!”

Found the templates online for the cape and mask.  I used colored index cards.  Tucker got to decorate with the heart stickers and write his name on the back of the cape.  Turned out okay! :)

New Race Track

We got this race track at a church rummage sale about 2 years ago.  It’s been in storage since then and out of the blue we decided to get it out.  It couldn’t have been a better time!!  Cars, cars, cars!! That’s Tucker’s life right now.  (And Tessa’s enjoying it too!)

I wish I could have recorded all of the squeals and shrieks of joy each time a car would zoom down the track!

This has brought us so much joy!  Thank you Diane and Michelle for this! :)

Happy Toddler :)

Here’s our happy little girl.

And our not so happy little girl…

Nice look, right?!

And just because I haven’t posted a video in a while here’s our happy girl and I during some mommy and daughter time …love these times together…
